Perth Caribbean Association Annual General Meeting

The Perth Caribbean Association has had a busy year establishing our presence in the community. Our Annual General Meeting is coming up and we would love to see you there.
When: Sunday 31st July 2016 at 1.30pm for registration, 2pm presentation

Where: Stirling Community Centre, car park entrance on Stoneham Street, Tuart Hill.

Attire: Wear your countries flag colours or the flag itself!

Note: This is a family friendly event, complete with a kids playing area.

We plan to give a brief overview of our achievements and events to date, declare all roles vacant and complete the nomination and voting process for the 2016-17 committee.
The committee comprises of four executive roles:

President – Currently Elton Chisolm

Vice President – Currently Meredith Parkins

Treasurer – Currently Olivia Sullivan

Secretary – Currently Dionne Gayle

We then have sub-committee coordinator roles for Events, Fundraising, Grants, Tech and Public Relations. If you have any queries about the roles, please contact Meredith Parkins on vicepresident@perthcaribbean.asn.au or 0411 067 497.

As per our Constitutional requirements, we are advising that all positions will be declared vacant. There will be an opportunity to nominate yourself or someone else into the committee, and voting will be by secret ballot on the day.

You will need to be a paid member to vote in these elections (one voting right per membership). This can be purchased at the event.

Annual Membership fee: $20 individual and $30 family

Program

• 1.30pm: Registration and signing up for Membership, raffle sales
• 2pm-3.30pm: Presentation, voting and lifetime membership certificates
• 3.30pm-4pm: Draw raffle prizes and ballot count
• 4pm-4.30pm: Announce new committee
• 4.30pm: Free taster foods, drinks and music

Volunteers needed: If you are able to lend a hand on the day, setting up or clearing up, we would really appreciate it and advise us when you RSVP.
